Married in St Paul’s Anglican Church in Canterbury, Melbourne, Rachel and Alan made one of my favourite couples. The day started at Rachel’s makeup room, where her makeup artist was just finishing. After looking at Rachel’s black wedding dress, I was very surprised as most brides usually don’t dare to go black on their big day, but she seemed to be quite audacious. The wedding dress, made by Alan’s mother, had a lovely overlay of fine black tulle, making the bride look charming and unique. The transformation made her look like something out of this world! The groom was ready, looking handsome in his dark suit. Sweet couples always boost my energy and help me capture perfect photos, so I was pretty sure that this photo shoot will be one of my masterpieces.
I love shooting weddings on bright and pleasant days. It’s because the weather affects my mood, and I feel calm. The wedding ceremony took place in St Paul’s Anglican Church in Canterbury, Melbourne. There are a lot of beautiful spots for photography in the area, so I took a number of cute couple photos. Their families also had photos with them near the church.
For the reception, Rachel donned a traditional Qipao Chinese wedding dress in a stunning purple shade. The reception was at the Tai Pan Restaurant in Doncaster, Melbourne, which has been a fine dining hotel for 20 years. The decorations were exquisite, as was the menu. I especially loved the delicious white and purple cream cake that matched Rachel’s dress. The best thing is that lighting and atmosphere here is very good, which made my job easier and made the pictures as stunning as the bride and groom. As you can see in the photos, everyone was in good spirits and having a wonderful time.
It was an honour capturing each and every memorable moment of Rachel and Alan’s special day. Revealing the intense love between the cute couple, the photos clearly express their fondness for each other and their family.
We congratulate Rachel and Alan on their wedding, and we wish them a beautiful and bright life ahead!
